Choo Choo Track Hike

On the 22nd of May, me and my friends signed up to join the Singapore Adventurers’ Club’s Choo Choo Track Hike no.2. The hike started off in Jurong, and went all the way to Bukit Timah, a journey which took approximately 3 hours to complete. Part of the hike included clambering through dark unlit tunnels where we trudged through mud ankle-deep, and having to go through grass taller than our selves and even a jungle where nature had reclaimed the track as its own. The trip was not without quite a few detours – construction has begun to remove the oldest parts of the train track, part of the government’s plan to revitalise/redeploy the land they’ve regained after years of negotiation with Malaysia.
